Heidelberg is a city of romance, poetry, art and music. Its marvelous character was greatly influenced by German Romanticism in the 19th century. The picturesque location, idyllic historic old town, mysterious castle and ruins enticed yesterday’s romatics and continues to attract tourists from all over the world today.

Culture is indeed vibrant in Heidelberg, and most of the city’s events reflect cutural inspiration. Heidelberg is also the home of Germany’s oldest university, founded in 1386.

Most of all, the Romantic city evolved with time. Today it is not only a mystic place to visit but is also an important business center for the Rhine Neckar Metropolitan Region.

Openess, international atmosphere and historic magnitude make Heidelberg an ideal place to learn German.
