COLLEGIUM PALATINUM in Heidelberg offers a wide range of German courses for academic, personal or professional purposes, at all levels, all year round.
Founded in 1958, the participants benefit from more than 50 years of experience in
German language instruction.
Our instruction is based on the European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching (CEF) and emphasizes German culture and lifestyle. The Collegium Palatinum is member of FadaF and an official test center for telc and TestDaF. The following German Courses are available:
- General short- and longterm German Courses (20, 25, 30 or 35 hours per week, 1-48 weeks)
- Exam Preparation courses telc and TestDaF
- Private Instruction
- German for companies ( private instruction, small group courses, Weekend Workshops, In-House-Training)
- Customized study abroad programs, German for Adults 50+, German & Music
The Collegium Palatinum organizes a wide range of activities and excursions to enrich the learning experience.
The school is located in the historic city center, only minutes away from the main shopping streets, cinemas, theaters, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Course participants are conveniently housed near public transportation. CP offers the option of a Student Residence (self-catering), Private Accomodation (Host families, single room with meal plan) or a Hotel or Hostel (all categories).
Heidelberg is a city of romance, poetry, art and music. Its marvelous character was greatly influenced by German Romanticism in the 19th century. The picturesque location, idyllic historic old town, mysterious castle and ruins enticed yesterday’s romatics and continues to attract tourists from all over the world today.
Culture is indeed vibrant in Heidelberg, and most of the city’s events reflect cutural inspiration. Heidelberg is also home to Germany’s oldest university, founded in 1386.
Today, Heidelberg´s historic charm mingles with state-of-the-art science and technology. It is an important business center for the Rhine Neckar Metropolitan Region.
