| BELINGUA is situated in the city of BRNO in the CZECH REPUBLIC. Brno, the capital of MORAVIA region, is a pleasant city of 400,000 inhabitants, surrounded by forests. It is a university and trade-fair city with beautiful old and art-nouveau architecture, rich cultural life (10 theatres, concert halls, museums, art galleries) and many sport facilities and international sport events. BELINGUA has been established in Brno since 1992 when its founder Mrs Eva Bell(ova)MA returned from England after teaching languages there for 25 years. BELINGUA is a small school offering high quality teaching at down-to-earth prices to individuals or small groups which enables us to give students personal and individual attention. Our philosophy is that learning languages should be interesting and enjoyable. That may be the reason why our small school regularly occupies one of the first three places in national surveys entitled 10 Best Language Schools (from among 400 language schools in the Czech Republic). BELINGUA offers not only Czech but also other languages, both European and Asian, taught by native speakers. Czech Republic is becoming an increasingly popular haven for foreigners from all over the world, some of them teachers interested in teaching their mother tongues at language schools (e.g. there are about 60,000 young American expats living more or less permanently in Prague alone). You would certainly enjoy living in the Czech Republic as much as they do. BELINGUA has prepared two kinds of intensive language courses: A) CZECH LANGUAGE together with optional background studies and weekend excursions. These courses are aimed at: § students wishing to undertake university studies for free at one of our many universities including the prestigious Charles University in Prague (founded in 1347). These university studies are absolutely free of charge, provided they are in Czech language – studies in English are also available but have to be paid for., A one-year course of Czech language is usually sufficient to prepare foreign students for technical universities, IT, archeology, forestry, agriculture, medicine. pharmacy, language, music, ballet and film studies to name just few. Czech university degrees are recognized in most countries. § students learning Czech, other Slavonic (Slavic) languages (Russian, Polish, Serbo-Croat, Bulgarian, Slovak, Ukrainian, Macedonian) or Central (Middle) European studies at schools, colleges and universities abroad § Czechs of the second / third generation living abroad, wishing to learn the language of their forefathers and discover their roots. We also offer services in genealogy. This course would be suitable for students taking one-year leave before their university studies. The course would also feature long weekends in some European capitals which should appeal namely to non-European students. B) POPULAR EUROPEAN (Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, English) and ASIAN (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Arabic) LANGUAGES taught by native speakers Courses will be tailor-made according to your wishes as far as the content, duration, accommodation and excursions are concerned. We recommend one month as minimum (preferably one year) and small group or individual tuition. You can start at any time. WHY THE CZECH REPUBLIC? The answer is simple: safe and pleasant life in a beautiful country in the heart of Europe, interesting sightseeing (small Czechia has got about 20 Unesco listings), good food and wine, the best beer, inexpensive language tuition, university studies free of charge, very low living expenses – all in all EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY.
