| PROYECTO ESPAÑOL is a language school, specialized in Spanish for foreigners, with academies in Alicante, Barcelona, Granada and Madrid. Our goal is to combine teaching the Spanish language and culture with fulfilling your holiday expectations at favourable prices. Proyecto Español works nearly exclusively with public and non-commercial organizations, and the tuition is free of any commission for agencies. Our main tasks are offering professional, methodologically sound language instruction, as well as promoting the direct personal contact of each individual to the Spanish culture. In addition to numerous leisure time activities, our free Language Exchange invites you to also get to know Spain outside of the classroom. Social behavior patterns and manners, colloquialisms and "street slang" are experienced firsthand. Our schools in Alicante and Granada are accredited by the "Instituto Cervantes" and accepted by CSN to receive students with Swedish state funded loans and grants to study abroad. And our courses with 30 hours per week are recognized as "Bildungsurlaub" in Germany (Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Rheinland-Pflalz). Our installations in Barcelona as well as in Alicante, Granada and Madrid are located directly in the centre of the cities. In all schools the students have free access to Internet and a library with Spanish literature at their disposal. BARCELONA Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and fashionable cities in Europe. With a population of 3 million people and located on the Mediterranean costline, it is the cultural and economic centre of Catalonia in Northern Spain. Taking a walk in Barcelona is unbeatable! There is gothic and medieval architecture in the labyrintine Old town, Gaudí's modernist buildings such as La Pedrera or La Casa Batllo in the Eixample quarter, Las Ramblas with its human statues, the Sagrada Familia, the Olympic village by the sea, the beaches just 20 minutes from the school and the Barceloneta quarter with its terraces to try the typical Spanish tapas.
