School Description:

Pixel is a Language School based in Florence.

Pixel specialises in organising individual customised Italian Language and Culture courses for foreigners. The courses are highly personalised and flexible, responding to the specific need of each student.

Pixel School was awarded the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate (certificate n° SQ.41823). Pixel School is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education according with the Ministerial Law n. 90 of 1-12-2003 and has been accredited as an education and training agency by the Tuscany County Council.

Teaching Staff:

The courses are taught by mother-tongue Italian speakers with a university degree.

All teaching staff have long experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language and have specific skills with regard to teaching Italian in a business context

There are no catalogue courses as Pixel is specialised in the creation of ad hoc completely customised Italian language and culture courses.

Every course organised by Pixel is each time entirely personalised: the students is therefore presented with a tailor-made programme.

Course Subject Areas:

A) Italian Language

This subject area includes courses such as: General Communication in Italian; Italian Language for Art and Architecture; Italian Language for Tourism; Business Italian Language, etc.

B) Italian Art

This subject area includes courses such as: Florentine Renaissance Art; Artistic Sites of the Main Italian Cities; Painting; Drawing; Photography etc.

C) Italian Culture

This subject area includes courses such as: Italian History; Italian Literature; Italian Society ; Italian Traditions; Italian Politics; Cookery Courses etc.


Dates and Prices

Course Dates

The period of the course is totally adapted to the student’s needs.

The dates and duration of the course is established by the student, in collaboration with the teacher, according to the time available and the level of language skills which the student intends to reach.

The course can last from a minimum of 2 hours up until a maximum of 8 hours per day.

Intensive Individual Course: € 35 per hour

  • Courses of more than 80 hours: 10% discount
  • 2 participants in the same course: 40% discount each
  • 3 to 10 people attending the same course will receive 60% discount each
