Istituto Venezia is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. It is a member of:
- Asils (Association of Schools for Italian as Second Language);
- Tandem International, International Network of Quality Language Institutes
Since many years, Istituto Venezia has been promoting and supporting the teaching of the Italian language and:
- It coordinates and teaches the Venice International University's courses of "Italian for foreigners" (V.I.U. is University Ca' Foscari, Istituto Universitario di Architettura, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität-Munich, Tel Aviv University, Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Waseda University Tokyo and Duke University Durham).
- It runs internships and stages for the Postgraduate program "Teaching Italian to Foreigners" of Ca' Foscari University (Laboratorio Itals).
- It selects the I.U.A.V. students who will be part of the Socrates/Erasmus study abroad program.
- It hosts "Intercultura" international association's Italian classes.
- It organizes and teaches several American universities study abroad programs.
- It is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education.
