LINGUA IT LINGUA IT is a private institute owned and run by professional teachers who appreciate the importance of a relaxed and intimate environment for cultivating the learning experience. Realising that a language is more than a series of grammatical formulas, the teachers at LINGUA IT strive to immerse their students in a multi-faceted learning experience, one that comprises not only structured lessons and cultural tours but also the security of an easy-going and approachable ambient where students can let themselves go, in a home away from home. The school is located in the historic heart of Verona, just a few steps away from the beautiful Roman Arena and myriad other exquisite monuments. The intimacy of a small city such as Verona offers visitors a personal and accessible introduction to the Italian way of life in an aesthetically beautiful environment. Strategically located, Verona is also a great base from which to explore many of the other wonderful cities of Northern Italy and Europe. Venice and Milan are each one hour away by train and Paris, Berlin and Prague just two hours flight from Verona’s international airport. LINGUA IT offers a wide selection of language courses to accommodate the varied needs of students. From intensive group classes to individual private lessons or special classes for two people who want to study together, the school can accommodate whatever study preference a student might have. As well as a vast selection of full and part-time language courses, LINGUA IT also offers a variety of cultural classes (art history, Italian literature, cinema and theatre, Italian politics and society); guided tours (wineries, olive oil refineries, art galleries, museums) and guided visits to near-by cities (Venice, Vicenza, Mantova, Padova as well as many other beautiful locations). The school is well-equipped with a variety of student services such as an Italian book and film library where students can borrow a variety of materials free-of-charge, free internet access, a free accommodation-booking service and a student bar where students can meet to relax and socialise. LINGUA IT is also a member of ASILS (Associazione Scuole di Italiano Lingua Seconda), the most prestigious and well-recognized association in Italy dedicated to monitoring and maintaining a high standard amongst schools that teach Italian to foreign students.
