The Bristol Language Centre is a dynamic, friendly and professional organisation which offers a wide range of high quality English language courses, from General and Intensive English to Cambridge and IELTS examination ones, as well as specially tailored Business English courses for individuals and groups.

As an independent organisation, we pride ourselves on taking care of individual students’ needs and welfare. We are able to provide a personal service in which we can tailor requirements to the needs of individuals or groups. Courses have flexible start dates and students can choose the number of hours they study per week, according to their budget.

All our teachers are qualified and educated to degree level. Many of the teachers at the Bristol Language Centre have experience of living in other countries, which gives them an understanding of different cultures and an awareness of students' needs. Throughout your language course we are on hand to offer advice and academic guidance.

The Bristol Language Centre has its own social programme, which is run by the Activities Coordinator. This programme of activities runs throughout the year and usually includes two or three activities or outings per week. Activities include things such as excursions, trips to the theatre, sport or pub quiz nights. The school also has a recreational and study area for students, with free internet access.

The Bristol Language Centre is located in the heart of Bristol, on the historic harbourside, only a short walk from the city's best cinemas, theatres, shops and restaurants.

Bristol is fast becoming a recognised centre for English language learning. The expansion of Bristol International Airport, the desire of students to find alternative locations in the UK, the convenient location of the city, and the fact that Bristol has two world class universities, all contribute to Bristol being a top destination for students.

When we surveyed our students to find out their reasons for studying in Bristol rather than other cities in the UK, this was a typical response:

“You can study in a lively city and join several social activities, so that you can have the possibility to know many other students and practise English most of the time.”
The types of students who are recommended to come to Bristol are, “independent, inquisitive and interested in having a great experience of life” (Leila Pedilarco).
