| Our school The school is conveniently located in Clifton, a beautiful area of Bristol near the main sights, the University, and main transport networks. Our teaching methods Our teaching methods and facilities combine to help students become more independent and creative with their English. We focus on helping students learn more effectively. We use a lot of REAL English - not just English from books. In classes students work with texts from newspapers and magazines. They study TV and radio, internet English, songs and much more . Our courses Our English Courses are very flexible.
Studnets can start any Monday and study for any number of weeks. We recommend a minimum stay of 2 weeks.
Quite a few students study on our Study Year option: study for 25 weeks or longer and you get a fantastic reduction in the course fees. All our main courses are built around a core package of general English lessons known as General English 20. This is made up of 20 forty-five minute lessons which take place every morning from Monday to Friday. For students wishing to make more rapid progress or for those preparing for an IELTS or Cambridge English exam we offer a number of afternoon supplement courses that students can add to a General English 20 course. Our Intensive English 30 supplement of ten extra lessons provide another ten general English lessons including our ninety minute conversation club which takes place every Friday. On top of this, our Study Room is open outside class-times for students to do extra study or complete their homework tasks. There is always a teacher in the study room to help them. Our facilities
At The Language Project we have: a welcoming Reception Area; 9 fully-equipped comfortable classrooms, all are light and airy; a computer room with free internet access and email; a large Students Coffee Room with a drinks machine; a Teachers Room - which is open to students through the day; a designer garden.
We have a number of accommodation options to suit different lifestyles and budgets such as host families and residence. Most are within easy reach of the school - a 40 minute walk at most.
