The ILI Arabic Language Institute (IH Egypt).

International Language Institute was opened in Cairo in 1975, and was the first International House language school in the region to focus on the teaching of Arabic.
A combination of our own experience built up over the years and regular support from IH World Organization has ensured a modern and lively approach to the teaching of Arabic.

Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA)

We teach Aameya or Egyptian Colloquial Arabic which is the most widely understood in the Middle East. With our communicative approach, and our focus on small classes, students can quickly progress through our levels to a point where they can really being to communicate.

There are 10 levels available, each level is for 4 weeks of 32 hours* from Beginner to Advanced. Classes are from Monday to Thursday, 2 hours daily.

Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)

We teach Fous-ha or Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) which is used in educated conversation and the media. The course will enable you to develop reading and writing skills as well as listening and speaking.

For beginner students who do not know how to write in Arabic, an extra 30 minutes per day is added to your course to help you, for no extra charge.

There are 10 levels available, each level is for 4 weeks of 40 hours* from Beginner to Advanced. Classes are from Monday to Thursday, 2½ hours daily.

Combined MSA/ECA Courses

Courses are scheduled so that it is possible for students to study both ECA and MSA simultaneously (4½ hours daily), which is of particular interest to the many committed students we serve.
