The School

EC Brighton was established in 1982. The school is located in three Georgian period buildings just off the Brighton seafront, less than a 10 minute walk from the Royal Pavilion and the Brighton Pier.

EC Brighton has a total of 20 classrooms, six of which are designed for small groups or private tuition. School facilities include WiFi access, a multimedia room where you can send emails and use the internet, as well as practise your English using multimedia CD-ROMs and a library with study area. The cafeteria offers a variety of mouth-watering snacks, hot meals and refreshments for both Eastern and Western tastes at attractive prices.

EC Brighton offers a variety of accommodation options from the popular homestay, student residences or any of the guest-houses and hotels in the area. Homestay is the most popular choice with students at EC Brighton. Staying with a local family is the best way to practise your English and learn more about Brighton and English culture. This will be your home away from home. Alternatively, you can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of student life and live in a residence with other students from around the world.

The City

Brighton is alive with a host of bars, pavement cafés, and specialist shops from surfing outlets to artists' studios and innovative jewellery. In the centre, you'll find the extravagant Royal Pavilion, and Brighton Pier with its rides, amusement arcades and fish & chips shops.  A stroll on the pier is something every visitor must do; it's fun whatever your age! In the town, discover 'The Lanes'; a maze of cobbled streets lined with more niche shops, as well as some of Brighton’s 400 restaurants. Nightlife is exciting here and offers everything from theatres, bars and lively pubs to comedy venues and clubs featuring world-acclaimed DJs.
