Learn English with EC Malta

The School

The school was built in 2001. It consists of two blocks on opposite sides of the street and has a total of 59 classrooms, of which 12 are designed for small groups and or private tuition. All classrooms are comfortable, bright and fully air-conditioned. School facilities include a self-access centre which includes wireless internet connection, a large internet café and a computer room as well as audio-visual and library facilities. Students can relax in the two landscaped roof gardens or in the student lounge. There are several cafes on the ground floor of the school buildings and the St. Julians bus terminus is conveniently located nearby.

All EC students have access to the EC Beach Club in the Summer (excluding Sundays and public holidays). Membership at a fitness centre throughout the year for a small fee.

About Malta

Malta has a fascinating and rich history. The island became a British colony in 1814 and gained its independence in 1964. Mediterranean culture is dominant in Malta but 150 years of British rule have had a lasting effect on the country and its language. English is one of Malta\'s two official languages, the Maltese drive on the left and enjoy a typical English breakfast. The main daily newspapers are published in English.

Our school is located in St. Julians, originally a quaint fishing village built around a small bay. St. Julians provides a wide range of accommodation, some of Malta\'s best restaurants and is also Malta\'s entertainment capital with numerous bars, night-clubs, shops, cinemas, a casino, shopping centre and bowling alley all within a few minutes walk from the school.
