 ENGLISH

Spain is unique. The culture, people, traditions and customs vary enormously from region to region making the country highly attractive to both visitors and students alike. But what is it that makes Spain so special? For thousands of years Spain has been occupied by some of the oldest European and Mediterranean civilizations. Each of these has had a strong influence on the architecture, geography, and above all the cultural heritage of the people.
The importance of Spanish and its increasing influence in the modern world cannot be questioned. It is currently the fourth most spoken language worldwide, the second language of international communications and the official language of twenty-one countries. This beautiful language is more than simply a tool for communication or a means of establishing new business contacts. It is a doorway into the heart of Spanish life.

But it´s not enough just to learn Spanish. You´ve got to live it! At Mester, the language doesn´t end in the classroom. We make sure that each and every one of the activities we organise for our students brings a different facet of Spanish culture to life.
Whether guiding students around historic monuments, taking them on weekend excursions to other cities, giving them lessons in salsa or Spanish guitar, or introducing them to the various tapas bars dotted about each city, our goal is the same: to show students the life beyond the language.

Spain is a country rich in linguistic and cultural diversity, and we at Mester believe this makes studying here a very rewarding experience indeed. To this end we offer you the opportunity to learn Spanish in a number of locations throughout the country, from the friendly university towns of Granada and Salamanca to the winding streets of Seville or to the sunny Spanish paradise of Tenerife.
