Certificat Pratique de Langue Française – 1e degré

The Certificat Pratique de Langue Française is intended for foreign students who either would like to study in France or wish to get a degree there. Developed by the Paris Sorbonne University, this exam can be taken in all authorised universities in France, by edict of the French education ministry.

The Certificat Pratique de Langue Française is the first of three certificates (2nd level: Diplôme de Langue et Littérature Françaises ; 3rd level: Diplôme Supérieur d'Études Fançaises). Students, whose mother tongue is not French and who want to apply to a French university are able to proof their knowledge of the language with these certificates.

  • Literature: Questions have to be answered about a 15 to 20 line text of one or two works which are part of the stanard course programme.
