FIPLV (Fdration des Professeurs de Langues Vivantes)
Founded in Paris in 1931, FIPLV is the only international multilingual association of teachers of living languages. FIPLV aims to promote the teaching and learning of living languages; to develop and support multilingual education; to improve the quality of language teaching and professional training of language teachers; to help and advise on the founding of professional associations of language teachers; to encourage and coordinate cooperation of its member associations as well as other language associations; and to provide a vehicle of international solidarity for language teachers from different regions of the world. FIPLV publishes the quarterly FIPLV World News as well as the proceedings of colloquia and workshops which it organises. The FIPLV World Assembly gathers every three years.
