NAFSA (National Association for Foreign Student Affairs) - Association of International Educators
NAFSA promotes the exchange of students and scholars to and from the United States. It sets and upholds standards of good practice and provides professional education and training that strengthen institutional programmes and services related to international educational exchange.
NAFSA's members (nearly 9,000 individuals from all 50 United States and 78 countries worldwide) include foreign student advisors and admission officers, study abroad advisers, ESL teachers, administrators of intensive English programmes, directors of international programmes, overseas educational advisers, community volunteers, administrators of sponsored exchange programmes, financial aid officers, and members from foundations, associations, corporations, research centres and cultural groups. NAFSA provides professional training and education, serves as a discussion forum and information network, organises professional conferences and awards grants to campuses and communities to support educational exchange.
