IIE (Institute of International Education)
IIE is a nonprofit organisation founded with the aim to support mutual understanding, to build global problem-solving capabilities, to create the human resources needed to build democratic, pluralistic societies and market economies, and to strengthen the international competence of US citizens. IIE administers and supports international programmes in the fields of education, arts and humanities, business and management, human rights, journalism, environment, science, energy and engineering. The institute also carries out statistical and policy research, and provides information on international study. In addition, IIE administers Fulbright scholarship programmes and many other exchange programmes.
