National Vocational Certificate Level 3

The National Vocational Certificate Level 3 enables learners to develop a comprehensive range of skills which may be vocational specific and/or of a general supervisory nature. Certificate holders take up positions of employment, work independently or are self-employed. Level 3 certificates generally incorporate a work placement as a substantial component of the programme.


Structure

The NCVA specifies the requirements for all certificates and all certificates are modular in structure. This certificate is awarded to learners who meet the required standard of vocational modules , two general study modules (communication and another module from the list of approved Level 3 modules) and a one work experience module.


Results

A Record of Achievement is awarded to a learner who successfully completes one or more Level 3 modules. Credits may be accumulated over a period of time towards the achievement of the National Foundation Certificate.
