Peru
In general
For entering the country a valid international passport is required valid at least 1 day beyond the intended stay.
A visa is required by all except the following nations travelling for a period not exceeding 3 months as tourists or visitors:
- EU countries (except for Lithuania) and Switzerland;
- Nationals of Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Chile, Columbia, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Kiribati, Korea, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Nauru, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Philippines, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Samoa, San Marino, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Surinam, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Vatican City and Venezuela, provided travelling as tourists for stays of up to 90 days;
Visa application
In order to apply for a visa for Peru one has to submit the following documents:
- A valid international passport (valid at least 6 months beyond intended stay)
- A recent passport photo
- 1 application form (available online)
- Visa fee in cash or by post order
- A return ticket or tickets for your onward journey
- In the case of business travel a letter of invitation from the employer (company) specifying the reason for the trip and the length of stay.
Please note
Transit visa: Travelers continuing their onward journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours, providing they hold onward or return documentation do not need a transit visa. You are required to have all the reservation documents and tickets.
