Malta

In general
For entering the country a valid international passport is required.

A visa is required by all except the following nations for a period not exceeding three months:

  • EU nations (Hungary for a maximum duration of 30 days) and Switzerland
  • Nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Monaco, Morocco, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay and Vatican City
  • Nationals of UK Dependencies



Validity
Three months, an extension can be obtained on a request.


Visa application
In order to apply for a visa for Malta one has to submit the following documents:

  • A valid international passport and a photocopy of the passport
  • A recent passport photo
  • One application form
  • Visa fee in cash or by post order


Please note

Transit: Visitors requiring an entry visa to Malta and undertaking day trips of less than 24 hours to another country do not need to pay for another entry visa on their return to Malta.
