"Staying with my teacher was great. She treated me like one of the family and I felt at home right away. She was very helpful, especially when I decided to travel a bit on my own—she looked up all the train and bus times for me as well as supplying me with tons of maps and brochures. She also took me around and showed me the city and explained how to use the various transportation systems, which I very much appreciated.

The lessons themselves were also excellent. Though I was only there a week, I could really tell that my speaking and listening abilities were improving a lot. In a country where it’s easy to fall back on English, it was nice to have a place where I felt comfortable enough to practice my Swedish and learn from my mistakes. I signed up for 15 hours of language study, but I continued learning well after the allotted time; I learned so much just being with a family and having to communicate about everyday things.

In short, I had a wonderful experience and learned a lot. I would recommend this to anyone serious about learning Swedish." Erin, USA
