Southern States University (SSU) is a private American university that was founded in 1983 in Orange County, California, and now has campuses located in several desirable Southern California locations. SSU has four campuses in San Diego (La Jolla, Fashion Valley, Pacific Beach and San Marcos) and one in Orange County (Newport Beach).  SSU offers English instruction at 8 levels, from beginner through TOEFL Preparation. We offer morning, afternoon and evening classes to provide maximum flexibility to our students.
SSU’s pedagogical approach gives students the opportunity to develop a comprehensive set of English language proficiencies, including reading, writing, grammar, conversation, pronunciation and university preparation. A stimulating and productive learning environment is provided, and is designed to help students prepare for success in their future personal, academic and professional pursuits.
 For those who would like to continue their studies once their English skills are strong enough, SSU can customize a program to include Intensive English studies until the student is ready to proceed with a Certificate or Degree program.  Once your English skills are strong enough, SSU offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a 150 hour TESOL Certificate Program.

The Intensive English Program as well as the Certificate and Degree programs offered by Southern States University have been approved by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, whose approval standards are among the most rigorous of any state in the USA. Southern States University is authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to issue the legal documents required to obtain a student Visa (SEVIS approved I-20 Form), and we have trained specialists on staff to help you through the process of getting your student visa, making it simple for you.
