IDIOM, a private and independent enterprise, was created in 1994 and offers a perfect environment for learning French in Nice.
IDIOM, a small school with never more than 50 students at the same time, has specialized in French courses for adults. The small number of students per class guarantees an active participation and the possibility for everyone to take part and speak often. Hundreds of people have been trusting us for over more than 15 years and some come back to pursue their language training being convinced of the effectiveness of our method.

IDIOM guarantees best quality thanks to small classes with 2 or 6 participants on average, highly qualified and motivated teachers and a multilingual administration to look after your social welfare.

IDIOM is the most flexible school:

  • The date : every Monday (even any other day for individual courses)
  • The duration : from 1 week to 3 months
  • The number of lessons : 20, 30, 40 or 50 per week
  • The maximum number of participants : 1, 4, 10 or 12 according to type of course
  • The level : any level
  • The contents : general or specific French (bank, law, insurance, exam preparation, teacher refresher course, 50+ …)

Finally, all courses at IDIOM take the 4 demanded skills of the new common European Framework of Reference for language learning into consideration : oral and written expression, listening and reading comprehension.

School facilities description

IDIOM offers a highly comfortable location: light classrooms with high ceilings and furthermore a big, sunny terrace where students are welcome to relax during the breaks. All classrooms are equipped with CD players and WIFI is available all over the school. Students also have free access to computers. IDIOM is situated in a beautiful building of the "Belle Epoque" (beginning of 20th century) in a residential area only 5 minutes away from the city centre of Nice, 10 minutes from the railway station, 15 minutes from the old town of Nice and the beach.

IDIOM provides a large scale of accommodation possibilities : host family, hotel, private flats and also provides for arrival and departure transfer.

IDIOM also proposes interesting leisure time activities and workshops : guided visits of Nice, the surrounding villages such as Monaco, Cannes, Antibes …, museums such as Chagall and Matisse, cooking lessons, wine tasting, perfume creation – just to mention a few possibilities.

Accreditations

Due to an agreement with the German Ministry of Education in Hamburg the courses dispensed by Idiom are recognized as professional training sessions. Please contact us for further information.

- Idiom is also recognized by the French Ministry of Labour as an official institute for professional training under the number 93 06 02610 06 and is therefore authorized to draw up contracts for employees and employers for professional language training sessions.

Organisation memberships

Idiom is a  member of the  professional group FLE. In order to comply with the requirements of  this  organization the school is regularly audited which allows an effective  quality  control of the programmes, teaching methods and services offered. Idiom  rigorously complies with the European norm NF EN 14804 in matters  of  language travel organization.
