St.-Petersburg is often referred to as the cultural capital of Russia, as there is so much to see and learn. For that reason in addition to our Corporate, Standard and Expat courses offered in Moscow in St. Petersburg Globus International offers also a variety of programs to help you get acquainted with the Russian culture and language in one of the most beautiful cities of the world.

Our Russian Language School in St. Petersburg is loacted in the very heart of the city at the Mariinsky Business Centre. One cannot possibly think of a place more attractive for tourists. It is only 3 minutes’ walk from the St.Isaac Cathedral, 10 minutes’ walk from the Palace Square (the main city square) and the Hermitage, 10 minutes’ walk from Kazan Cathedral and only 15 minutes’ walk from The Church of Resurrection and the Russian Museum.

As for the public transport, there are lots of bus routes, trams at Nevsky prospect, which is a 5 minutes’ walk from our location. There are also 2 metro stations (also 10 minutes’ walk from us) – Nevsky prospect and Sennaya Ploschad

1.    Survival Russian: 1 week in St-Petersburg.
The program includes:

  • Airport transfer on the day of arrival and departure
  • Introductory lecture on the Russian life- style and culture     
  • 20 academic hours of Russian classes
You will learn to understand and use the easiest phrases which are necessary for reaching particular goals: greeting, representing yourself, making orders in restaurants and paying bills, finding a way in a strange place, writing names, telephone numbers, etc.
  • A walking tour around the city centre
The tour starts from Globus International at Moika 58 and makes you acquainted with the main city centre’s beauties: St.-Isaac’s Cathedral, the Admiralty, The Palace Square and the Hermitage, The Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood, Kazan Cathedral.      
  • Excursion to a museum
   Either the State Hermitage or the State Russian at the Peter and Paul Fortress.         
  •  Boat trip to Peterhof (in summer) 
  • Theater/ballet/opera visit
You can enjoy a visit to any of the city concert halls, theatres or a ballet.

2.    Survival Russian: 2 weeks in St.-Petersburg

Details as 1) above plus:       

  • 40 academic hours of Russian classes
You will learn to understand and use the easiest phrases which are necessary for reaching particular goals: greeting, representing yourself, making orders in restaurants and paying bills, finding a way in a strange place, telling about yourself and your family, asking your new acquaintances questions, talking about weather, filling in documents, etc.
  • Excursion to 2-3 museums 

3.    Beginners Course: 1 month in Saint-Petersburg 

Details as 2) above plus:        

  • 80 academic hours of Russian classes
