Level B1 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Examines solid basic knowledge in colloquial German necessary to communicate in all important everyday life situations. Presupposes approximately 350-600 hours of lessons. The examination is based on cooperation between the Goethe Institut, the Austrian language diploma (OESD), the Swiss conference of directors of educating (EDK) and the WBT.
