PWD examines the ability to communicate in writing and verbally about vocational and economic subjects in German. The level of communication is very high. PWD has a worldwide acknowledgment and is popular as a proof of high-level professional linguistic ability in German.The examination is based on a cooperation between the Goethe Institut, the German Industry and Chamber of Commerce (DIHK) and the Carl Duisberg Centers (CDC) and is also published by these three institutions.
