TFI is especially designed for non-native speakers of French who are working or wishing to work in an international field. The test assesses the candidate's qualitative and quantitative performance in French in a professional context.
Structure
Listening comprehension
Total: 90 questions (42 minutes)
Part 1: Answering questions and filling grid-in tables
Part 2: Multiple-choice questions based on dialogues
Part 3: Answering questions based on statements
Reading comprehension
Total: 90 questions (68 minutes)
Part 1: Correction of mistakes in texts
Part 2: Completing sentences
Part 3: Answering question based on different texts, letters, notes
Results
Candidates receive points for every correct answer and no points are deducted for incorrect answers.
Both parts of the exam (listening and reading comprehension) are assessed separately. The number of points varies between five and 495 and the total number of points which can be obtained is between 10 and 990.
